Things like how to move around in the game and how to fight are relatively easy things to learn. The more confusing thing for new players is where to go and what to do once you get into the game. One of the things we did when my 12 year old decided he would like to try playing the game after watching me for awhile was to get one of the new software add-ons that would make it easier for him to learn to play World Of Warcraft.

Actually I had the add-on on another account because I use it to power level WoW characters but it is such a nice program in the way it directs you where to go and what to do at each level for your particular character that I figured it would be great for him to learn to play World Of Warcraft.

While newcomers to the World of Warcraft may not be overly concerned about the various WoW mounts there are, since they only become available from level 30 upwards, you’d be surprised at how soon you’ll reach that level, and doing a little research on mounts ahead of time may be a good idea.

Once you’ve done your research, and you’ve reached the level needed to be able to buy your own mounts, you may be wondering where and how to go about doing so.

First things first, you’ll need to acquire a riding skill. Then, the best idea is to travel to your race’s capital city, to purchase the mount in question. Other race’s mounts do become available too, once you’re honored by them, but the first one is generally easiest to acquire from your own race.
