These players would rather spend the extra gold to buy the item from you than have to spend the time traveling to the vendor and hope that the vendor actually has the item they need. If not, they will have to wait for the limited item to respawn, which could take several hours. By having these items on hand with you at the auction house, you are helping these players out and saving them from potentially wasting their time trying to track them down.
